Carole Middleton Dominating Gossip Rounds

The influence of Carole Middleton in the lives of the Cambridges is being heavily scrutinized across gossip sites, including the Daily Mail (3 articles on their website today alone!). One article asserts that Mrs. Middleton is raising a “middle-class monarch” and another talks about her stepping in as caretaker at Anmer Hall – the Cambridges’ residence that is said to become their full-time home while Prince William works as an air ambulance pilot – in the wake of the sudden departure of other household staff.

Shakespeare: Prince Charles Distressed Over How Little He Sees Prince George

One big happy family? Not so says Sebastian Shakespeare today in the Daily Mail….

“At the heart of the heir-to-the-throne’s frustrations is the so-called ‘Middletonisation’ of his son William’s life — specifically the inordinate amount of time he spends with his in-laws Michael and Carole, with whom he recently holidayed in Mustique for Carole’s 60th.

In fact, so vexed is Charles about the so-called ‘March of the Middletons’ that he has complained to friends: ‘They never let me see my grandson.’

Adds a source: ‘Carole has rather taken over, dictating when George naps, when and what he eats. All in all, behaving like she’s Queen Carole.’”

The Cambridges Wrap Up Vacation in Mustique

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with their son, Prince George, returned to London on Friday after a two week long vacation to the island of Mustique. The young family was in Mustique celebrating Carole Middleton’s 60th birthday. Vacationing in Mustique at the end of January has become somewhat of an annual Middleton tradition to celebrate the Duchess’ mother’s birthday. Last year a photo was snapped of the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George at the airport on their way to the island.

The Duchess of Cambridge gets back to work on February 12th visiting Portsmouth for an 1851 Trust event.

Solo Engagements Start the Day for the Cambridges on Saturday

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had a busy Saturday…starting  with solo engagements, they wrapped up the day together opening the National Cycling Centre of Excelled “Avantidrome” in Cambridge.

According to Rebecca English of the Daily Mail (@RE_DailyMail), the Duchess told someone in the crowd while she liked her green coat that Prince William felt it was “a bit bright”.

The Duchess visited Rainbow Place Children’s Hospice in Hamilton, where she made some kids very happy….while the Duchess of Cambridge visited the hospice, Prince William paid a visit to Pacific Aerospace.
