The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge escaped to the Maldives this past week for some R&R before their three week royal tour of Australia and New Zealand. News of their holiday was met with some criticism due to their lack of engagements this year as well as the fact that both have already been on holiday within the last two months- the Duchess accompanied her family to Mustique while Prince William went to Spain with a group of friends. They are said to be staying at the £1,500-a-night Cheval Blanc Randheli Hotel.

Prince George was left behind and is said to be staying with the Middletons. We know that his new nanny is also staying with him. Photos have just been published of the two walking through Hyde Park last week.

George to Accompany William & Kate Down Under!

Details of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge’s royal tour of Australia and New Zealand were released today. Prince George will accompany his parents on this three week trip from April 5 -27. The 9 month old will be based with a nanny in Wellington, Sydney, and Canberra, while Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge make a number of day trips and two overnights. Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a rare night out to celebrate the birthday of Louise Aubrey Fletcher, wife of a close friend of the Prince, at Bunga Bunga in Battersea. Also attending was one of the Duchess’ best friends, Emilia Jardine-Paterson d’Erlanger.

Duchess of Cambridge Makes Charity Appearance for The Art Room

The Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance today as patron of The Art Room as she officially opened The ICAP Art Room at Northolt High School in west London. The Duchess has been Royal Patron of The Art Room charity since 2012; it is a national charity which offers art as therapy to children and young people aged five to 16 who are facing challenges in their lives.
